In 2019 MPS held a competition for our learners to submit a concept/design for a school Mascot.
We received so many clever and creative entries from Grade 1 through to Grade 12 but there was one clear winner as this concept truly respresents the motto (Psalm 23) and values of MPS: Christ-centredness, Courage, Respect, Integrity, Innovation and Quality work.
Luke Palm of the 2019 Grade 11E class submitted not only an amazing concept, but also excellent hand drawn designs.
Luke explains his concept:
I chose to do a Lion and Lamb for my Mascot Design as they are both biblical animals.
The Lion is designed to be the High School’s Mascot, and the Lamb for the Primary School. Using the school’s blue and yellow colours, both are wearing elements of the Armour of God consisting of:
Breastplate of Righteousness
Belt of Truth
Helmet of Salvation
Shoes of the Gospel
Sword of the Spirit
Shield of Faith
We are very proud of our Mascots!
